The increase was not [attributed to tariffs](https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/tariff-refunds-companies-trump-us-government-b2935922.html) or any other specific factor. Microsoft said the increase was a reflection of \"changes in the macroeconomic environment.\"\n\nTrevor Hastings purchased an Xbox after the price increase.
