We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.\n\n**Your support makes all the difference.**\n\nTaylor Farms released a full [recall](https://www.independent.co.uk/bulletin/news/fda-taylor-farms-statement-cyclospora-outbreak-recall-b3017411.html \"FDA issues new statement on cyclospora outbreak as supplier pulls lettuce\") list Saturday after pulling iceberg lettuce [sold in 27 states](https://www.independent.co.uk/bulletin/news/taylor-farms-lettuce-recall-states-cyclospora-outbreak-b3017439.html) over concerns of [Cyclospora contamination](https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/parasite-diarrhea-outbreak-produce-wash-b3015336.html), which can cause severe intestinal [illness](https://www.independent.co.uk/topic/illness) and prolonged diarrhea.\n\nThe affected shredded iceberg products were distributed from June 29 through July 16 in 27 states, inclduing Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and Wisconsin.\n\n“We are actively removing the implicated products,” Taylor Farms’ Saturday memo [reads](https://www.taylorfarms.com/recall/). “The company has stopped receiving product from the implicated lot, suspended distribution of the iceberg lettuce from Central Mexico, notified our customers, and we are continuing to work with the FDA, [CDC](https://www.independent.co.uk/topic/cdc), and state authorities.”\n\nConsumers who purchased the recalled lettuce should throw it away immediately, and can receive a full refund at the location where the product was purchased, the company said.\n\nThe recalled lettuce is linked to a cyclosporiasis outbreak the CDC traced to shredded iceberg lettuce served at [Taco Bell](https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/taco-bell-parasite-explosive-diarrhea-food-lawsuit-b3017403.html \"Taco Bell sued by customer who allegedly contracted ‘explosive diarrhea’ parasite\") locations in Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio and West Virginia. Nearly 7,000 confirmed or suspected cases have been reported across 34 states, resulting in 141 hospitalizations and no deaths.\n\nCyclospora infections can cause symptoms including watery diarrhea, frequent bowel movements, stomach cramps, nausea and fatigue, with symptoms sometimes lasting for weeks.\n\nThe full iceberg lettuce recall list issued Saturday by Taylor Farms is as follows:\n\n##
