The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed it conducted a third wave of strikes against US military facilities in Bahrain and Kuwait on July 14, 2026. These claims, circulating via unconfirmed open-source intelligence (OSINT) reports, have not been independently verified.
The IRGC stated the operation, named "Operation Nasr 2," was carried out by its naval and aerospace forces in retaliation for what it called US aggression and attacks on Iranian coastal military positions. The primary targets were reportedly weapons storage facilities and warehouses containing aircraft and naval parts at Sheikh Isa Air Base in Bahrain, and MQ-9 drone facilities at Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait. The IRGC claimed several drones were destroyed or damaged.
Earlier reports from the same channels indicated a second wave of the operation also targeted a building housing US personnel at Bahrain's Jafari base, along with arms depots and a satellite communications center.
In its statements, the IRGC warned that retaliatory operations would continue as long as US attacks persist, threatening that "not a single drop of oil and gas will be exported from the region" and that the Strait of Hormuz would remain closed.
