The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has claimed responsibility for a series of unconfirmed missile and drone strikes against US military facilities in Bahrain and Kuwait, describing the attacks as retaliation for American strikes on civilian infrastructure including a children's cancer hospital.
The IRGC, through its official Telegram channels including Tasnim News and PressTV, announced what it called the 'second phase' and 'third wave' of 'Operation Promise 2' (also referred to as 'Operation Nasr 2'), claiming to have targeted multiple facilities at Sheikh Isa Air Base in Bahrain.
According to IRGC statements, the claimed targets included a US Army drone command and control center, helicopter maintenance facilities, a P-8 electronic warfare aircraft hangar, an air detection and control radar system, a fuel tank pumping station, and weapons storage facilities per IRGC claims.
