Donald Trump stated that the United States will seek back payment from European nations for financial aid provided to Ukraine. The declaration was made via a post on Truth Social, where Trump criticized the amount of munitions given to Ukraine under the previous administration.

The former president claimed that hundreds of billions of dollars were provided to Ukraine and NATO at no cost, money he asserts Europe should have paid. He framed the demand for reimbursement as a belated but necessary action.

In the same statement, Trump also addressed US military readiness, asserting the country has 'virtually unlimited amounts of Mid to High Grade Ammunition' and is producing munitions at unprecedented levels. He contrasted this with the aid sent to Ukraine.
